I got in a good 11 miler this morning, the middle of it being the Inside Out Sports 8k Turkey Trot. I averaged 6:23 so a good effort for the long run! I felt ok, nothing special, but I wasn't exactly trying to target this race. Tassie ran to the race and back with us (it's a little shy of 3 miles to the race) and of course had a great time. Marty ran the 1 mile race and stomped on all the little kiddies with a smokin' 5:25.
I hope everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving! There sure is a lot to be thankful for!

WOW - nice job on your race! That's awesmome!! I'm hoping to regain some of my speediness now that the IM thing is OVER with :) Can you lend me some of yours ? HA!
Have a GREAT Thanksgiving!!
You know what? Its just me and Nathaniel this year... and the House Monsters as well. But my other half insisted that I buy an ENTIRE Turkey... because "It wouldn't be Turkey Day without Turkey". I should have just done what you guys did and tried to pass it off... We'll be having Turkey for...weeks....
Have Thanksgiving Bri!
Oops - that was meant to be "Happy" Thanksgiving Bri! :)
Great job at the 8K! And I think chicken is the same thing as turkey on thanksgiving. I begged David to let me make lasagna next year. The whole traditional meal does nothing for me.
At least you cooked, even if it was a chicken! Last year after Scott and I did the IOS Turkey Trot we went to Boston Market for Thanksgiving. I think cooking a big turkey and the huge mess that goes with it is a bit overrated.
