Back in NC

The weather turned on us the last day of the camp, so we were only able to get a short run in. 30+mph gusty winds and hard rain wouldn't have made for a safe bike ride, and the water was very rough for a swim. Ah well, one crappy day is pretty good all things considered. I landed this morning in Raleigh with the flight attendant joking, "Welcome to New England...I mean Raleigh!" because of all the snow we got again! It was very pretty to see from the air, but sheesh, isn't it March? The weekend looks to be warm, thank goodness. I actually have my first triathlon in less than 2 weeks - what was I thinking?! I'm keeping my fingers crossed that it's relatively warm by then.

Here are some pictures from the camp. We stayed in a really quirky place above some shops in 'downtown' Pass a Grille. Looking this way is the Gulf, and if you turn around the intercoastal is right behind. It was really cool.


Beautiful Northshore pool we swam at several times. The Bay is behind the pool - and I now have a speedo tan again!

There were a lot of jokes being thrown around when this guy decided to hot dog all over the beach with everyone watching the sunset.


This is not from the camp, but from the Coach Bubba 4 miler the other weekend. I thought it was funny that even during the run Alysia and I were STILL talking!
